Field Lacrosse

“Rep” is short for “Representative”, as in the teams that represent the club in competitions with other clubs. The Huntsville Hawks offer Rep programs in Box Lacrosse and Men’s Field Lacrosse. Players must be residentially bound to the Huntsville District Minor Lacrosse Association to play Rep.

In age divisions where there are enough players interested in Rep, a second Rep team (2 team) is also established. Rep teams are rated annually from “A” to “E” and participate in league play and provincials under the Ontario Lacrosse Association.

Rep Box is introduced at U7 while Rep for Men’s Field is introduced at U9.

This age chart is for Men’s Field Rep registration, and only for the 2026 season:

U9 - 2018/2019

U11 - 2017/2016

U13 - 2015/2014

U15 - 2013/2012

U17 - 2011/2010

Ontario Lacrosse has residential boundary regulations that require players to play Rep in the next closest centre to their home address. Players don’t have to live in Huntsville but they must be residentially bound to the club to play Rep.

Families who are new to lacrosse can complete the Where Do I Play? form on the Ontario Lacrosse website to confirm their next closest centre.

Rep Box players are required to have:

→ lacrosse gloves

→ lacrosse stick

→ CSA-approved helmet with face mask

→ mouthguard

→ shoulder pads

→ arm and elbow guards

→ rib/back pads

→ athletic support and cup
